Zeynep is a registered member of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers and the Ontario Association of Social Workers. She completed her Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) at the University of Toronto with a collaborative specialization in aging, palliative, and supportive care across the life course.
Zeynep completed a clinical practicum at the Multi-Care Kidney Clinic at St. Michael’s Hospital, where she provided direct social work services to patients diagnosed with chronic and end-stage kidney disease. After graduating with her MSW, Zeynep worked as a social worker for various inpatient and outpatient units at St. Michael’s Hospital. She is currently working with women who completed breast cancer treatment at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.
Zeynep has experience working with individuals and families dealing with mental health challenges, such as depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, grief and bereavement, body image issues, suicide, trauma, end-of-life care, relationship issues, and domestic violence. In addition to her clinical work, Zeynep has been actively involved in several research studies at Stanford University and the University of Toronto.
