About Saba
Saba Rizvi is a compassionate and skilled Registered Psychotherapist and certified Art Therapist who specializes in working with individuals of all ages. Her therapeutic focus encompasses trauma, chronic pain and illness, relationships, stress relief, anxiety, and depression.
With over 15 years of active involvement in the mental health and medical field, Saba has dedicated the past 5 years to practicing as a therapist. Her impactful work includes the introduction of Art Therapy in long-term care units at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital and Milton District Hospital, as well as at Nisa Homes and Naseeha. Saba has collaborated closely with Brain Injury Societies in Ontario, showcasing her commitment to diverse and inclusive therapeutic approaches.
Saba’s expertise extends to providing support for individuals from Indigenous backgrounds, assisting them in managing intergenerational trauma, PTSD, and delivering trauma-informed treatment. Her holistic approach integrates various therapeutic modalities, ensuring a comprehensive and personalized intervention for each client.
Saba’s training includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solutions Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She is also certified in Neurorehabilitation for individuals living with brain injuries and is actively pursuing further education in Gottman Couples Counselling and Specialized Advanced Training for Autism in children.
In her role as a therapist, Saba creates a non-judgmental and safe space for clients to share their stories of struggle. Her approach is rooted in empathy and understanding, guiding individuals towards healing and ultimately fostering growth.
