Nadiah is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), with a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy, from the University of Winnipeg. Her specialized training in family systems theory and relational approaches means she views each individual as part of a larger system, where everything is interconnected. If you are looking for individual, couple, or family therapy, Nadiah can help. Her compassionate, warm and transparent approach, provides a space that is authentic and safe.
Nadiah practices from a trauma-informed lens, and uses Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) in her work where emotions are at the core of change. By helping you explore your attachment wounds, and through emotional regulation, she can help you be in control of your behaviours and communicate effectively. She stays attuned to your culture and identity, helping you develop a strong connection to your self and the world around you. Nadiah has additional training in Emotion Focused Therapy for Couples (EFT-C) and Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT).
Nadiah has worked extensively in the community, particularly serving newcomers and refugees. Upon request, Nadiah can provide faith-based therapy for clients that identify as Muslim. She loves meeting new people, deep conversations on spirituality, and staying active playing sports.
