Ilham Jilani is a compassionate, culturally competent, and religiously sensitive psychotherapist who specializes in providing counselling and mental health support to youth, adults, seniors, and families. With over ten years of experience in the mental health field, Ilham works with diverse populations, she supports clients navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem issues, grief, and life transitions. Ilham is committed to creating a safe, confidential, non-judgmental, and caring environment where clients feel truly seen, heard, and supported.
Ilham holds a Master of Social Work from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University). She offers psychotherapy, drawing on a range of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. Her therapeutic approach is client-centered, trauma-informed, and strengths-based—always personalized to reflect each client’s unique needs and lived experiences.
Passionate about social justice and mental health equity, Ilham grounds her practice in anti-oppressive and anti-racist principles. She recognizes the systemic barriers and power imbalances that impact individuals and communities, and she actively works to challenge stigma while promoting healing, empowerment, and resilience. Her practice is enriched by both professional and lived experience, as well as a deep commitment to cultural humility and religious sensitivity.

She is inspired by her clients’ courage and transformation, and finds meaning in walking alongside them as they explore their emotions, identities, and life stories—emerging stronger and more resilient.
